Southampton
Today was my second time in Southampton, but shared a similar goal to the first, get online. I decided to pay for it this time though, but was able to get on for a bit and send out some emails. Today was interesting because my roommate Ron moved out. Unfortunately, I was out of the room when he left for the last time, so I didn’t get to say goodbye as I might have liked. But, with Ron gone, this meant I got a new roommate, a 33 year old Russian named Sasha. His English is ok, sometimes difficult to understand, but he seems like really nice guy, so maybe it’ll work out fine. It just means I’m now the youngest in the band, not like that hasn’t happened before. Otherwise, today we departed for Gibraltar, played a welcome show and parade, and tried to stay out of the way of all the passengers getting on and off the ship. Well, moving right along into another cruise and approaching 4 solid weeks away from home, weird. But so far so good, I just hope that Sasha will be as good to room with as Ron, but I’m looking forward to discussing Russian culture with him. So here we go, another two week cruise of the Med!
