Aug 12th and 13th
At sea
Sea days today, always good for ample free time. Nothing really happened on the 12th, we had to play a big band set for captain’s cocktail, and then a couple shows for Mike Doyle. The entertainer was good, not to mention a really nice guy. He’s been by far the most appreciative of the band of any entertainer. That makes me feel good both about playing behind him and about the band I’m in. He was really impressed, which is a great compliment coming from someone who’s done lots of ships.
